About This Newsletter
Inspiration arouses our imagination and encourages us to look beyond ourselves and our present issues. Is it a spiritual attribute or just part of our material selves? This is a question each of us must answer individually.

Letter from the editor
Is inspiration a spiritual attribute? My answer is yes! However, each one of us must answer this question for ourselves. Each human individual has a soul and ego, a mind and spirit, that interacts on the material plain. Each of us has a different personality and different backgrounds. All of these items help us make decisions.

What inspires us? My answer is everything I encounter. I am inspired by the prayers I say, the scriptures I read, and the things I have learned.

In June there are several days that inspire me. Some of these are the Baha'i Feast Days of Light and Mercy. There are also Race Unity Day (June 8), Father's Day, Juneteenth, and Flag Day.

Childhood memories also inspire me. These include my Grandfather's ability to say prayers. What inspires you? Do you have special memories that inspire your poems or stories.
