About this newsletter - this newsletter, like all of literature, is about Freedom! *Smile*

Letter from the editor
Dear Reader,

Is the whole of literature about Freedom?
Is every novel, every story, every poem about someone who either
has freedom or needs it?

Freedom craved, freedom deserved, freedom granted, freedom denied, freedom fought for, freedom won, freedom lost …

Physical freedom, emotional freedom … Freedom from rules, conventions ...

Individual freedom, collective freedom … either captivity or freedom by choice or force ...

Freedom to be, to do, to feel, to think, to speak, to love (or hate?) …

Freedom in life, freedom from death … freedom attainable, freedom out-of-reach … Freedom from the walls, freedom from the scars …

Freedom from within, freedom from the outside …
from the self, from others … Freedom from the plain truth or freedom from stark lies …

Freedom from ignorance or maybe freedom from knowledge …

Freedom from the past, freedom from the future – freedom in the present …

Freedom from reality, freedom from illusions …
Freedom quiet, freedom loud, freedom meek, freedom arrogant, freedom calm, freedom desperate …

Freedom used, misused – and freedom abused …

Freedom from judgement, freedom from expectations, freedom from society’s customs …

Freedom pure, freedom tainted …

Freedom from prejudice, freedom from superstition …

Is everybody free, or nobody? Is freedom borrowed, taken or stolen?

Are we born free, do we have to be set free? Is life freedom? Is death?

Is ‘getting’ freedom the same as ‘getting’ anything else from someone?

Does freedom always come with a price tag, or is freedom free?

Are we free to be lucky, and lucky to be free?

Is the whole of literature about freedom, after all?

Thanks for listening!

Ask & Answer
Thanks ion_7 for the response to "Using Repetition Effectively" :

Interesting notion. Repetition reinforces the plot point so that the reader focuses on it and it also simplifies the premise. I compose mainly fantasy and repetition helps reinforce the worldbuilding. Thanks for the NL!
