Which birth order is best for a brother and sister to be close to one another?

Poll Question:
Have you noticed how in many stories that feature a loving bond between a sister and her brother, the brother is usually the older one? It's very rare the sister is the oldest one. The older brother is always the loving, protective one. Is this because more people like the older brother/younger sister combination? What do you think is better in a loving sibling relationship: the older brother/younger sister relationship, or the older sister/younger brother relationship?
