My Upright vacuum broke, ugh!

OK, here is the deal: My upright vacuum broke and I have two kids six cats, two dogs and two big children ( okay, adults) that all create more mess than they are worth.


I have tried hoovers and dirt devils but I would like to get your opinion what do you use?
