No matter how hard I try,
It’s never good enough for you.
I have to do better,
No matter how well I may do.
I’m sick of people telling me,
That what I feel is so wrong.
What I feel is MY choice,
I’m just trying to be strong.
No matter how hard I try,
It never pleases you,
You make me feel as if,
My accomplishments were few.
When I tell you how hard I try,
You make my eyes water,
Because you just frown at me and say;
“You need to try harder.”
No matter how hard I try,
You don’t see what I show.
All the effort I put forth,
You never seem to know.
And you’ll never see it,
No matter how hard I cry,
No matter how hard I hope,
No matter how hard I try.
