Faith In The Fight

Brief... just getting started here on writing.com... this is a recent poem...

FAITH IN THE FIGHT

This soil beneath our feet,
These stones upon the street...
They're one.
Those clouds in the sky,
Our Emerald Isle Eire...
We're one.

I wish I were as sure of Heaven,
as I'm Ireland will be one again.
The year is young.
It may take seven.
And days are gone,
That we'll lose good men.

We'll live to see the day.
Have patience .
Pray.
The Counties will unite...
Have faith in the fight!
