Dreaming

A quick paced, personal poem about missing a special someone.

As I sleep,
I see you there.
I smell your scent,
I see your stare.

I hear your heart,
I see your eyes.
We're standing still.
The world flies by.

I come close,
You run away.
You dissapear.
I wish you'd stay.

Stay with me,
Don't ever leave.
I'm begging you,
Down on my knees.

Don't leave me here.
How can it be?
I run to you,
Again you flee.

But I know,
You'll never stay.
You'll leave me here,
And go away.

Now it's me,
I'm all alone.
Wishing you
Would back home.

Out of my dream,
I miss your face,
I miss your smile,
Your embrace.

I wonder now,
When will it end?
When can I be
Happy again?

I wonder too,
If you miss me,
And if I'm ever
In your dreams.

But now I go,
Back to sleep.
Back to you
As I weep.
