A Terza Rima Sonnet inspired by a Splasharama image. |
** Image ID #1453068 Unavailable ** In my youth, this was a treasured fishing hole, where the granddaddy of all trout presided until I arrived with my trusty cane pole. On a hot summer day, our wits collided. Though his cunning had become legendary, I prevailed when the battle was decided. These days, my foes are all imaginary, as I sit in this tranquil scene and reflect on my life versus the taxed mercenary. Flowing water serenades me to deflect any worries, and sunlight dances with mirth across the stream, projecting a gay aspect. While others bustle about to prove their worth, I’ll just sit here and enjoy this peace on earth. http://www.shadowpoetry.com/resources/wip/terzarima.html ********************************************* |
