Words vs. Actions

An age old quandry, my opinion.

Do the words "I love you"
    provide us satisfaction?
Tell me what speaks louder,
    spoken words or one’s actions?

To me words mean little
    compared to what we show.
Lies fall from people's lips
    like flakes of winter's snow.

The smallest of our actions
    convey meaning so very deep.
Our doing beats our telling
    its the promises we keep.

Show others, do not tell them,
    of the love you hold inside.
For actions convey the truth
    of our feelings and our pride.
