One among the throng |
| There was a man of God back then. Who had a dream, a dream of when, Each man could finally forget the past, And we would all thank God to be “Free at last”. There was a man who stood from the crowd; Who preached to all, brotherhood he vowed. Each man and woman looking one to another, And each would say “There is my brother”. There was a man of ignorance and hate, Who fired a gun Memphis--April--1968. Each man must now follow their own scheme. And each must say “I have a dream”. |
