Obituary

When Sarah Palin died
her body was laid
in a caribou fur lined casket.

When Sarah Palin died
the caribou, silver wolves,
and the last of the glaciers
were extinct.

When Sarah Palin died
the Rapture had not yet arrived
but having crashed
the glass ceiling
of patriarchy and paternalism,
perhaps it was enough.

When Sarah Palin died
her ashes were scattered
in the waters
of the polluted Arctic
and float
with the remains
of the books she burned.
