The Escape

Once, I was in the darkness. Forever, I will live in the light discovered in this poem.

With the little vitality
that remained in my system
I kicked down the doors
that were locked by oppression.
The light had then struck
and i was astounded
for I had no knowledge
of what the darkness surrounded.
