On Angel's Wings

On angel's wings
She flew that night,
Away from us,
And towards the light.

Gone was the pain
the cancer had brought.
Finished the battle
She had graciously fought.

The life she had lead
As wife, mother, and friend
Had turned another corner,
And taken the next bend.

There was the loved one
She hadn't seen in awhile,
Welcoming her home
With open arms and a smile.

Heavenly Mother's Day,
