A love poem set in an orchard. |
| Side by side in the singular rows Of well-tended trees, Peering out amongst the fruit-bearing groves, We watch the empirical sun Cast its glorious eyes on the expansive terrain. As our closely linked movements Criss-cross the dense earth, We see the gathering of the moon and stars Each blissful night spent in this peaceful oasis. The wet, delicate rainfall enlivens The blooming branches, As the seasons mark their shapely and timely change... We remark with cognizant, dutiful clarity Life’s windswept and magical fortunes, In our colorful, widely-sown orchard. |
