A Valentine's Day poem... |
| Silent Valentine Sun shadow's this grey stone. Love’s light is no longer shone. Above my love, I bend my knee, Valentine’s Day, near this tree. My love, I’m here, do you see? My heart in chains, no longer free. Blue scarlet tears and empty fears. A faded man, now in lonely years. Quivering lips no longer speak. Grieving eyes no longer seek. No song sung by soaring bird, Nor lovers whispers ever heard. Love once lived, she rests in earth. A cycle spent, so short from birth. My love so young, she now sleeps. Safely awaiting, in Heaven’s Keeps. Word Count: 99 with title |
