| FOREST FIRE Lightening streaked across the sky, soon bringing fire to the dry woodland. Striking a tree, igniting life to the blaze. The floor of the forest erupted in flame as the wind blew, increasing energy. The night roared with intense passion. Spreading across a pitch black sky, blistering heat scorching the earth and engulfing all in its wayward path. Miles away, a town woke with the dawn, seeing smoke instead of a clear blue sky. Alarm sounded, firefighters responded. Hearts bled as they saw the destruction, there would be no wildflowers to blossom this year, no blush of excitement as she picked the flowers, savoring the beauty.. No buttercups, no lady's slippers - there would be nothing for years to come. Nature has a way of shattering dreams, but nature also has a way of healing - Promise of rebirth of a forest lost, Promise of survival for a town. Promise of a new day to come - Nature has a way!
