Bubble Yum gum
With a Cherry Coke
Round the skating ring
In my rented eights

Scrunchy ponytails
With ruffled denim skirts
Stop for the Hoky Poky
and the Chicken Dance

It was at your age, amongst
All the happy children
Celebrating under the disco ball
I stood afar, watching, wondering
Why can't I be happy too?
