Free verse poem about living life idly |
| As I hesitantly grow older, The others grow older too. Growing stagnant, I watch others continue to flourish, Bettering themselves, Moving on. A grievous growth, My memories on standby. I can't help but see families grow And hear of prideful adventures. Growing stagnant, I've nothing to share. Still, all alone; I'm still As time etches forward. Motionless in time, With not a thing to show Save the wrinkles and gray, Mapping out my pain. Deteriorating in this painful existance, Watching the others grow older As I grow stagnant, still. |
