To have found the strength

In the blob of me


To have found the woman

among the remains of the girl


To have liberated my desire

from the fear restraining it


It took years
-many years-

It took friends
-compassionate friends-

It took a man
-a patient and forgiving man-

It took heart
-more than I thought I possessed-

It took fate
-or was it God?!-


And here I am standing,

my hands full,

enchanted by the Morning Sun.
