How I found writing.com

I remember this day like it was yesterday.
It is hard to believe it's been a year already.
Wow, how exciting is that?

Let me take you back *ButtonRewind* in time. *Clock2*
Please, sit back and enjoy the ride. *Cab*
I was sitting at my kitchen table on April 9th 2011.
*ConfettiR**ConfettiY* *ConfettiG* My writing.com anniversary date, of course. *ConfettiR**ConfettiY**ConfettiG*
I knew I wanted to write my life story to share with the world *Earth*, but to be honest, I had, absolutely, no clue where to start.
I knew it would take me forever to write it out longhand, so I decided I wanted to type it.
Okay, *Smirk* I open my laptop.Oh, no, now what? *Confused*
I decide to say a prayer because I'm back at square one.
I bow my head; Out loud, I start talking to God.

"Dear Lord, please, help me. I have no idea where to start. I need your guidance. I know you want me to do this, father, and I want to do it right. Help me get to the place I need to be. I ask these things in Jesus name, amen."

I went to Google typed in writing. Okay, I was thinking in my head Hmmm .com and voila, I found writing.com, but that isn't the amazing part.

When I entered the site I was so excited! I was a little, Okay a lot , overwhelmed to put it, mildly, I knew I had a load of learning ahead of me. This is a big place with so much to see and do. I had no clue where to start.

When you first join writing.com membership is free, but it has certain limits as any awesome website should.

I wanted to write a book right from the start.

I live on a very limited income and I am raising three children. I became worried I might not be able to use this site. I was so sad *Sad*

I read more about writing.com. I learned the mission statement here is to bring a smile to everyone's face. To make everyone learn to believe in themselves and their dreams. Most of all to never give up no matter how hard circumstances may get. Okay, if it isn't the mission statement it should be!

I started reviewing other people's work and I received a big surprise. One that brought real, sincere, happy, tears *Happycry* to my eyes a three month upgraded membership to writing.com from an anonymous person.

I was so excited! I was smiling from ear to ear because I knew God had sent me an angel. I was where I was suppose to be at the right time. I knew this was the beginning of my dreams becoming a reality. I could write my book here.

Since this has happened to me. I have been able to pay it forward for someone else. I pray that eventually she treasures her membership here at writing.com as I do.

I will love *Heart* you always, my writing.com angel.*Angel* May God bless you!
