Those Seafaring Demagogues

A seafaring journey across an ocean takes skills, experience, and mental fortitude -a poem

A substantial taste
Of the inspiring, windswept ocean
For the stout-hearted Limey,
A seafaring demagogue,
At his vigilant post
Aboard the bounding, topsy-turvy vessel.
The notorious captain
And submissive sailor
On their way to familiar reaches
Or uncharted waters,
Typical for these top-notch ocean voyagers.
The crew of seasoned boatmen
Shall likely avoid mishap and sail
Directly to their faraway
And known destinations,
Using finely-tuned instruments
And precision mapping. 
Dedicated to these premier seadogs
Is their sturdy, irrepressible ship
Of many lengthy, crisply cold journeys;
A vessel fearing nothing while reaching
Its friendly, safe home port
After an inscrutable session
Atop the windy, merciless seas.
