A misty mountain homeland, dragon's nest --
Denied entry 'cept by runes hand writ; patient guest.
Serendipitous Mid-Summer cool light
To Elrond, moon runes reappear in sight

Thirteen dwarf fighters remain, much asked for --
Bilbo conscript'd to find a treasure cavern door.
A misty mountain homeland, quest begin --
Denied entry 'cept when key'd; thrush knocks; thief in.

The Hobbit unnoticed 'gainst dark wall of ore
Parlays fate of Lake town from enraged Smaug.
Bard aims, flights kill shot, 'borne through fire and fog.
Now Men and allies together regain more --
A misty mountain homeland, dwarf king resting place.
