An inspirational poem about persistence and trying harder. |
| Nature has given the treasured Earth Her strong and her weak, her fastest and her slowest, And her miraculous, even-handed contrast, The instinctive versus the naive. Meanwhile, all manner of creatures Fall somewhere in between In this sequence of forgiving responses. However, nothing can do more to alter The reality or scope than That basic and fundamental trait Known as persistence. Those who respond most ably With attitude and desire Can overcome any deficiency With gratuitous gusto, And will, over time, deny the status quo Its meaningful victories. |
