A New Year is Upon Us

Hard to know what's ahead - here's to feeling good about it - a poem.

With singular clarity
And the utmost euphoria,
An enticing new year lays before me,
With its enchanting possibilities
And ominous scope.
Being individually kind and aware,
I'm looking forward to it with a renewed sense of purpose and vigor,
Having experienced much change during the past year.
Vast intellectual displays and proactive responses
Culled from vistas previously lacking
In depth and imagination,
Now offer sanity and a destiny of hope for me;
I am now trustingly engaged like never before,
Eying greater tools;
And those practical dominions
And idealistic passions
May make my jubilant and respectful self even leaner
And more steadfast than ever,
Moving forward
Into the foreseeable future...
