| My new favorite Christmas movie is the Polar Express. The song "Believe" comes from there, and speaks to something so central to Christmas---faith, belief, hope. The final video is from Handel's oratorio Messiah. I have a soft spot for this one, because it has a decent alto part, and at least when I performed it I wasn't actually being upstaged by a bunch of sopranos...again. Since others have contributed the "Hallelujah Chorus, I decided to use a different piece. I have enjoyed this for decades, because it has the whole point of Christmas. |
