Wanting a friendship from someone who wont

Will you be my friend?
I try everything
Being nice, smile
Saying polite words

Am I doing something wrong?
Offend you in some way?
Nothing
Barely a smile

Try try try
Talking to other people
Won't even look my way

Guess I'm not good enough
Never be good enough
I have tried enough

Oh well
Alone I will stay
