Boston PD has a new star in town: the Special Crimes Unit, an elite team of experts in different areas to take on the cases no other department can solve. And they work them out, even though they're not exactly the conventional kind of team, and sometimes they don't work by the book.
There's not much love between the PD and the feds, but it's not like Gillian and her team are about to give a damn about it, among other things. Especially when chance brings Declan Brockner to town—once an outstanding profiler with the FBI, currently fallen from grace and office.
This is supposed to be a procedural series, yet the police work is not usually the main focus of it, but rather the scenery. The characters being law enforcement officers, cases weave together with their lives.
The name is no craft of originality; it's obviously taken from The Beatles song, because it paints the best where both Gillian and Brock start off at the beginning of the story.
