| The triumphant retort Of a gregariously short weekend Now faces its most ineviable reality - The disappointment and dread Of Monday's cruel and determined arrival. Life embarks on a rather conspicuously cold journey Into yet another work week, And once again you tackle That stress-filled, heartless grind At its ripest and most onerous peak; Then, those emergent shadows fraught With misery and mayhem are somehow averted And you help yourself To even more weekend fun and relaxation, Anxious to breathe and take in Excessive amounts of laughter, friendship, And worthwhile, wholesome entertainment... |
