Nature's lack of precipitation spelling doom - a poem. |
| The dilemma haunting Those species of animal Sauntering in the reeds, The relapse of a barren, dry Earth Harboring ill will on its wild denizens - An unbroken pattern soon to wreak havoc On beleaguered, malnourished herds Of the now ghostly and sickened land. The abandonment of rain shall signal Numerous casualties for creatures Of this forgotten habitat, Pending the arrival of large amounts of precipitation To augment vacated rivers and watering holes. ...An unfortunate fate For nature's brutal ledger, With daunting consequences For this distinctive and populous realm. |
