A 2016 Secular Christmas Carol |
| Oh, I'm just a homeless elf, Looking for an empty shelf, Do you have a Christmas tree, With an empty branch for me? I am just a homeless elf, I wander supermarket aisles, With my painted on friendly smile, Singing songs from Christmases past, Hoping to find a home at last, On an aisle's empty shelf. Please help this homeless elf, Find a warm spacious shelf, Where I can sit on Christmas day, To watch your family laugh and play. I am just a homeless elf, I wander through December's snow, Looking for the Christmassy glow, That casts its light across the ground, Which tells me I might have found, A home on an empty mantel or shelf. Oh, I'm just a homeless elf, Who needs an empty window shelf, Won't you give a home to me, Please make my Christmas worry free. |
