I wrote this recently after finding some light at the end of a rather long dark tunnel

As if I'm a toothpaste
Life tries to squeeze me
To get every last drop.
Held in its tight embrace
Life tries to tease me
With success or flop.
Holding onto life will release me,
Nothing ever seems to come easy.
