Time waits for no man

Time waits for no man
It pushes straight ahead
Its pace steady and even
In Joy and in dread

Like the gentle breeze
Or eddy of a stream
It wears empires down
And builds up men’s dream

But it has a limit
Like sand in an hour glass
Only the great Maker
Knows how much man has
