A bit of chaos around Thanksgiving.


We’re so sorry, Uncle Cornelius
we forgot the cranberry sauce
chaos came upon us like
a cold November rain

chaos is delayed flight
with countless folks
scurrying airport corridors

it is turkey and stuffing
scattered on satin
tablecloth

or a gluton’s groan
from gobbling so
much pumpkin
pie

food coma
is still chaos,
only slower
