how my new friend made me feel

You saved me,
I was lost and alone,
all I cared about is that people let me be,
I knew my faults and my failures,
I knew the bad and the good,
I felt nothing, but the pain I caused,
I knew one day for my errors I had to atone.
You came along and made me whole,
you made me see that I had paid my toll,
That I had done more than one dumb thing
that I was worth something.

You saved me,
in more ways than I could ever say.
You made me happier than I had been in any given day,
I want for nothing,
but to be with you,
Without you, I found life is crushing,
But now I can live,
and be happy that there is someone for me anyway.

You saved me,
In ways, I can never say,
I'm not sure words could describe it, anyway.
We came together was like a ballet,
the way we moved, talked,
I don't think it could have gone any other way.
But it is hard to describe,
just what I mean
I feel like it got my heart squeaky clean,
I hope that you understand what has been.
That you wiped away all my sorrow and found the man that is me.

You saved me,
I am truly thankful to God
for bringing you into my life,
I have no doubt we can survive any strife.
The more time I spend with you,
The feeling that we are meant to be
grows from deep within,
and I wholeheartedly agree
that there is an us
and it will be a beautiful thing to see.

I owe you for finding what no one else could
that thing is hidden deep inside
