Where Did All the Music Go?

My response to 48 hour challenge

As happens when the drinks begin to flow
This song reveals a story wild but brief.
The mob grows frantic, far too loud to show
Can someone break the amp and give relief?

But, every hope of quiet falls apart
I look around to find another track.
Please, why can we not pull the plug and start
a movement to bring Frank or Elvis back?

l walk among screaming mass and cringe.
For all the guitar squeals in music’s name,
it’s time to hold a weekend’s listening binge,
of all those oldies which are not the same

I hear that some folks like these modern boys
But all I hear is loud obnoxious noise.
