The Look of Love In Her Eyes

Having that deep personal connection between human and cat.

She comes to me looking up
with pleading eyes asking,
Daddy, please hold me close; Revealing,
“The Look of Love In Her Eyes.”

She nestles into my arms snuggling ever so close
pushing her small body tightly against mine.
I can feel her heart beating as she turns gazing at me,
making known “The Look of Love In Her Eyes.”

I stroke the length of her small soft body,
as she once again swivels her head
peering at me with a half-slit gaze, with
“The Look of Love In Her Eyes.”

She’s purring loudly now, relaxing within my arms.
We look to each other as if no one else existed;
She stares into my eyes intently, with
“The Look of Love In Her Eyes.”

She finally rests her head in my flannel covered
arms knowing contentment and love. For I know now that
she clearly shows; “The Look of Love In Her Eyes,”
which will always be.
