Shortcuts: Forever in Trouble

Sometimes it’s tempting to take shortcuts - a poem.

Some invite struggles,
Forget minor duties.
An office staff juggles -
So needed - just ease.

Believing in shortcuts -
A plan well-deserved.
Those if’s, and’s, or but’s,
Some pride still reserved.

Folks who get caught
Just simply explain
Perspectives still taught:
Is this worth the gain?

A lie then the truth -
Revert to those tricks -
May not seem uncouth,
But every clock ticks.
