Remembering the lives lost - a poem. |
| Much harping out of fallacy, Begging for the best insurance. A unique crossfire and liking To eternal looting For cherished gifts. Lives taken through the sheer, Bludgeoning doom - A miscarriage of vacated, Pardonable mercy. And lost angels survive In this memory of emblazoned, Odd-ball serenity... In dedication to the artists, Miracle workers establish Their sworn oaths to peruse The painful horrors and truths Which lie ahead. Knowing that these mighty deeds Have created A horrific absence And ill-construed modesty; Meanwhile, further contempt shall Correct and abolish These fruitless idiocies Whose enforcement belittles The sad, sanctimonious jargon At the core of sweeping Political discord and apparent change; For this sacred owning of decency We uphold And longingly protect. |
