A certain, illuminating promise -
Educational and financial leniency
For a flawed and tragic world -
Leverages a costly fixation;
The piping in of lethal and bizarre entitlements
While enabling hideous foreign actors…

A light at the end of a dreary tunnel -
The sending home of disturbing morals;

The extension of the pandemic’s
Serious, horrific consequences
For political advantage -

And the destruction of normalcy
In a once great nation.
