Food is piled high, the red-blood punch;
So fitting for this evening's gala.
Forms have been changed, now transcendental;
Are they spirits or perhaps mortal?
Risen from graveyards so long ago-
Halloween! It's a mystery what might foreshadow;
For ghosts, goblins, and witches shall be
Roaming the country and on the move
Watched with yellow eyes of the pumpkin
