Short haiku-ish attempts at a Japanese form. |
eyestar~* is running a haiku contest until January 28th, 2022. Please consider entering!
Rules (which follow Japanese form): — focus on the moment as observer — no caps, periods, rhyme, — present tense — Kigo or seasonal word — one main verb — 8-17 syllables (not complete sentences) — the 2 contrasting images that create an "aha" or puzzle for reader to discover what you know. My offerings bend a couple of these rules, so be careful. Don't imitate me! Could you humor me and choose your favorite? |
