Maggie loves her slippers, her sneakers, her sandals, her shoes. |
Maggie and her magic shoes Maggie loves horses, flying horses. Her shoes have wings, rainbow colored. Like Pegasus, they fly. Maggie loves puddles, splashing puddles. In yellow rubber boots she won't get wet, like a duck, she paddles on by. The Moon glows silver; her silver slippers shine bright. Magic moonlight makes Maggie a star. She joins the Moon in the sky. Maggie's uncle likes cars, very fast cars; her roller skate wheels let out a roar. She waves as she passes him by. Maggie's mouse squeaks. Her shoes squeak too. The kitten follows her wherever they go, mewing for minced mouse pie. Maggie loves flip-flops that change into flippers as she picks up litter, then dives in and swims all the way to Shanghai! Maggie takes off clogs to put on clean sandals then sits on a mat while she visits her aunt sipping tea among the bonsai. Maggie's sneakers sneak past her parents, her teddy in tow, as off to beddy-bye they go to dream of butterflies. © Copyright 2022 Kåre Enga [178.324] (20.januar.2022) 40 lines ~ c.180 words.
