Seasons Change

seasons of change

Summer is winding down;
Making way for a cool evening.
Sweaters will become common
to wear by the back-yard fire pit.

A wonderful season is capped
by good friends aplenty;
Even the sound of the snoring dog
gives comfort to me.

Now I wait patiently
for the snow;
And in its own turn,
The spring, with monarch butterflies.
