Blue - me and you

Writer's Cramp assignment for 10 jan - to write a story or poem with Blue.

35 years ago
I felt blue
when I met you.
You broke the ice
with a compliment about my sweater
handknit in mohair and ribbon
in red, dark- and light blue.

This evening we went together
To a New Year’s Reception at City Hall
where lights were set in Viva Magenta
Pantone’s colour of the Year 2023.

Me and you, we sneaked out
And went home to celebrate
35 years of me and you
in love, life and forever. True.
