It’s a new day

Curtains open on Cotmanhay Road,
A Tesco lorry brings its heavy load
The postman sorts his daily round
The Breakfast Show plays on Erewash Sound.

Market traders their wares display
Traffic builds up on Chalons Way
Kids get ready for the school ride
Ormiston’s gates are open wide.

On Bath Street a Trentbarton bus is seen
Waiting outside the Coffee Bean
Another day has just begun
As the sun rises over Ilkeston.
