Crystal Clear

in a Huitain poem for the Writer's Cramp contest/Winner 7/16/2023

The pomp is not my cup of tea.
I prefer more candid displays,
where common folk can come to see
life without groping through a haze.
The special way someone sashays
through the door brings a bit of mirth,
and crystal clear language conveys
the essence of life on this earth.
