It's Good to Dream

Just another peaceful poem, make of it what you may.

The day turned dark as the sun dimmed
My spirit takes flight as I have not sinned.

I am at peace now, looking to the night
Believing in honesty and everything that's right.

The forest lie silent as birds retreat to their nest
And God directed me for the route that is best.

I wish you could witness all the feelings I know
That walking through fields that forever glow.

God taught me freedom and to do things right
And through all the darkness, it will be alright.

Life's journey is long and too short
Remember your parents and all that they taught.

The stars are out now, peeking through clouds
I write this page, my senses out loud.

Only the poets and writers can show
That writing an item helps our feelings glow.

If you feel weary and time gets you down
Go for a walk, to forget that frown.

Be at peace now, all writers and artists
Believe in life and the dreams that you're after.
