| Day two of the trial, the judge noticed a juror pull a little index card from his pocket and jot something down. "Juror Number Seven," inquired the judge, "Are you taking notes?" "No, Your Honor," the juror replied, "I am just scratching little hash marks each time either one of the lawyers tells a lie!" Shaking his head the judge said, "Well, in that case I'm dismissing you from the jury for two reasons. First, I do not allow note taking of any kind by jurors. Secondly, by now you should already be on the back side of that card." |
