Mealtime Rhyme

A Drabble about dabbling in the kitchen

A Drabble of a hundred words?
Sure, I'll give it a try.
It has to rhyme, but that's no prob.
It's easy, they say, as pie.

But I'm not “they,” and I confess
that I don't know how to bake.
So undertaking such a task
might be a big mistake.

I guess that I could ask my wife,
though I've never seen her cook.
Our savior is the microwave,
and a Betty Crocker book.

But getting back to the task at hand,
I'd better finish my rhyme.
And if I fail to make it work,
I'll try again next time.
