My dragon from my books |
Dalthyrian He comes in the night, in dreams he flies with me on his back, with wings spread wide. Over Alyndoria we fly from wave tops clear up into the sky. From castle to mountain top and into his lair, I ride my dragon everywhere. His treasures are vast, libraries of books, maps on the walls, gems in his nooks. Folks say he's not real, just a mythological creature but I've seen and been with him; he's been my teacher. He's wise as can be, his honor is true, He's a part of my life, I believe this, I do! Came alive in my books and followed me thereafter. He's been there through tears and been there through laughter. My son has a tattoo of him on his calf, I have a painting of him on my staff. A spirit animal, a guiding light? Mythological is just a perspective. Right? Write a poem about a mythological creature. |
